International Women's Day: STEMming 2026

On 8 March each year, WomenTechIceland celebrates International Women’s Day with their wonderful event STEMming. It’s a celebratory gathering designed to unite women, non-binary individuals and allies dedicated to championing diversity in STEM and innovation.

EDIH-IS has had the privilege of supporting this event the last couple of years and it’s always one we look forward to.

This year’s theme, give to gain, put a great spin on the event. Participants wrote on their name tags what they had to offer others and what they hoped to get out of the event, which was a simple but effective way to break the ice and get conversations flowing right from the start.

A big thank you to WomenTechIceland and all the partners involved. We’re proud to be part of this event and we’re already looking forward to next year!
