AI and Society: You, Data, and Sovereign Decision-Making
Last week EDIH-IS collaborated with Reykjavik University’s Open University and CADIA - Center for Analysis and Design of Intelligent Agents for the conference
AI & Society: You, Data, and Sovereign Decision-Making.
The main topic of the conference (as the name suggest) was how AI is already shaping our society, with talks and panels touching for example on autonomy at both the individual and societal level, why data sovereignty matters more than ever and how AI is affecting our day to day lives and the way our brains work.
We atEDIH-ISused the opportunity to introduce our newly established Women in AI working group which will be kicking of some exciting activities in the coming weeks. We encourage all those who are interested in getting involved to join our mailing list.

We would like to thank our conference partners and all participants - speakers and attendees - for a great day and we look forward to keeping the conversation going around responsible and inclusive AI development.
