The 20th episode of the Audvarp podcast discusses the European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH) in Iceland. The EDIH in Iceland has been established with 300 million ISK contribution from the EU. To discuss hub, its significance and role, Teodór Gíslason, Technical Director and one of the founders of Syndis, and Helga Waage, Technical Director and one of the founders of Mobilitus, are the guest's of todays show.


In this episode are discussions about artificial intelligence, security issues, the importance of Icelandic for smart development, education on a very broad basis, data connections and all kinds of fun are discussed.


We discuss the four main pillars of the EDIH in Iceland and how they can have an impact and create opportunities in this country. The importance of cooperation with European countries and what Iceland can offer the continent, e.g. in the form of facilities for testing.
