/

Conference on the Development of the Icelandic Data Ecosystem

Í lok nóvember stóð Hagstofa Íslands, í samstarfi við National Competence Center (NCC), Icelandic High-Performance Computing (IHPC), Háskóla Íslands og Miðstöð stafrænnar nýsköpunar á Íslandi (EDIH-IS) fyrir ráðstefnunni Gagnvist 2025.

Markmið ráðstefnunnar var að kynna þau miklu tækifæri til verðmætasköpunar sem liggja í bættu aðgengi að gögnum og hagnýtingu gervigreindar við nýtingu þeirra. Þar komu saman haghafar innan íslenska gagnavistkerfisins, sérstaklega þeir sem safna og miðla virðisaukandi gögnum og notendur þessara gagna, bæði opinberir aðilar og fyrirtæki.

Í tengslum við ráðstefnuna var einnig haldið sérstakt gagnaþon þar sem verkefnið var að hagnýta gervigreind við úrvinnslu virðisaukandi gagna.

A major step has been taken to strengthen Iceland’s artificial intelligence infrastructure through a new ISK 1.4 billion collaborative project led by Almannarómur in partnership with the University of Iceland, Reykjavík University, University of Iceland Science Park, the Icelandic Meteorological Office, and the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies. A national center for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) will be established in Iceland, providing access to computing power, AI software, datasets, and expert consultation for the development, training, and testing of new AI solutions. EDIH-IS celebrates this milestone, which aligns with our mission to accelerate digital transformation and support companies and public institutions in adopting cutting-edge technologies.
