EDIH Iceland invites women who work with, or are interested in, artificial intelligence and digital technologies to join the first preparatory meeting of the Women in AI working group.

The European Digital Innovation Hub in Iceland (EDIH Iceland) invites you to the first preparatory meeting of the pan-European working group Women in AI, aimed at creating a safe and inspiring space for women who work with—or are interested in—artificial intelligence and digital solutions.
During the workshop, we will:
- Explore the origins and vision of the working group
- Discuss key challenges and opportunities for women in this field
- Build networks and strengthen collaboration within the group
This event is a great opportunity to meet other women interested in AI and to lay the foundation for a new working group that Iceland will lead for the next three years. Sign up and enjoy the Advent season with us!

A major step has been taken to strengthen Iceland’s artificial intelligence infrastructure through a new ISK 1.4 billion collaborative project led by Almannarómur in partnership with the University of Iceland, Reykjavík University, University of Iceland Science Park, the Icelandic Meteorological Office, and the Árni Magnússon Institute for Icelandic Studies. A national center for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) will be established in Iceland, providing access to computing power, AI software, datasets, and expert consultation for the development, training, and testing of new AI solutions. EDIH-IS celebrates this milestone, which aligns with our mission to accelerate digital transformation and support companies and public institutions in adopting cutting-edge technologies.
