Join us for this exciting fundraising event hosted by Women Tech Iceland

23 October | 🕕 18-21  | @Hafnar Haus

Join WomenTechIceland for a special evening in the lead-up to the 50th anniversary of Kvennaverkfallið. Celebrate with the community, connect with inspiring people, and take part in our time capsule project. Hear from empowering speakers like historian and former member of parliament Kristín Ástgeirsdóttir, Silja Bára Ómarsdóttir rector of the University of Iceland and the artist Sara Riel. Enjoy an evening dedicated to driving change. All proceeds will go toward WomenTechIceland’s mission to host more events and initiatives that champion diversity and inclusion in Iceland’s tech industry.

TIME CAPSULE

At the event, a once-in-a-lifetime Time Capsule will be created, focused on women in technology in Iceland, to be sealed at the Women’s History Museum and opened in 50 years.

Your participation ensures that more voices, perspectives, knowledge, and dreams are carried into the future, so the story of Women in Tech in Iceland is more complete, and reflects the innovations, leadership, strength and diversity of us all shaping Iceland’s tech sector.

A national center for artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) will be established in Iceland, providing access to computing power, AI software, datasets, and expert consultation for the development, training, and testing of new AI solutions.
